Surrender & Re-Homing

of

Farm Animals

and

Exotic Animals

*We are unable to take in Dogs, Cats or Wildlife Animals*

PLEASE CONTACT US BY COMPLETING THE FORM BELOW BEFORE BRINGING ANY ANIMAL TO THE FARM.

Animal surrenders must be arranged in advance.

We understand that sometimes unforeseen situations and circumstances can leave people with the hard decision to have to surrender and re-home their animals.  We want you to know that here at Darby Acres Farm, animals that are surrendered to us instantly become a member of our family and are loved unconditionally and have a safe and peaceful home with us.

*We do adopt out animals on occasion to pre-approved homes.  We can only take in as many animals as we can comfortably house. We currently have limited openings for surrenders.

Our Surrender Committee meets once every 2 weeks - it may take up to 15 days before you receive a response from us.

Because of the volume of surrender requests we receive, no phone calls please.

There is no fee for applying, however donations are always appreciated to help support surrendered and re-homed animals.

We apologize that we are unable to give e-mail or photo updates of surrendered animals, however you are always welcome to schedule a private tour by visiting our appointment request page and noting the animal that you are looking to visit.  We will try to make sure that they are available for your visit and not away from the farm giving joy and happiness to someone at one of our traveling zoo events.

Please fill out our Animal Surrender/Re-homing Form and be sure to list as much information about your animal's health as possible, including such things as vaccination and deworming types and dates of administration.

Please keep in mind that filling out this form does not guarantee that Darby Acres Farm will be able to accept your animal.

If you surrender an animal, you give up all rights to that animal.

Persons understand that they are giving up forever all rights, title and interest to the surrendered animal and further understand that all future decisions regarding this animal will be made solely by Darby Acres Farm.
